I somehow was able to finish Delillo's White Noise, which is a PostModern classic (my library manual said so!) about a Professor who teaches classes about Hitler, has been married 3 times with a handful of children, and has the ongoing fear of death which he suffers with Babbette his current wife. She cheats on him for a drug called Dylar, which is advanced in biopsychology by ridding the brain of the fear caused by death, but proves to be ineffective. The book it really entertaining... the details about suburbia and consumerism is a mockery of how absurd the american lifestyle can be. In chaotic situations, the character and his family come off nonchalant and somewhat emotionless.
Pretty cool... but I got scolded by Pav for being behind of my work because I'm reading my own books and not school books. Boo hoo.
